Forest fire breaks out in Ajas Wild life Range

Bandipora, Feb 23 (PTK): Massive fire in Ajas forests in North Kashmir’s Bandipora District on sunday.

The fire broke out in the afternoon and has spread to a vast area as the concerned officials failed to douse the flames on time. “Fire erupted in Ajas wildlife range block Rangnaar of Bandipora and is spreading fast.  The locals said that the area under fire is very dense in range.

An official said that the area is not too dense although team of officials and workers of the department are busy dousing fire since afternoon. “We are trying our best to control the fire and have so far succeeded in stopping it from spreading to the adjoining areas.(PTK)
