Flash Floods Damage Agricultural Land, Crops in Kangan

Ganderbal August 26 (PTK) Heavy rains since early morning of Wednesday triggered flash floods in Nilla Najwan area of Kangan in Ganderbal district, thereby damaging land and crops

Locals from Kangan said that due to a cloudburst following by incessant rains caused flash floods in a tributary due to which agricultural fields and crops have suffered massive damage and also the link road got blocked in the said area.

An official said that a flash flood triggered by heavy rains occurred in a Stream are passing through the village.

However there was no loss of life or property, he said.

A team of Revenue department , Police and irrigation and flood control department rushed to the spot to monitor the situation.(PTK)
