Er Nazir Yatoo urges party heads to convene all party meeting
Says united response need of the hour
Srinagar, June 03:(PTK)People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Ex VC JK Cements, Er Nazir Ahmad Yatoo on Wednesday urged all political heads of Jammu and Kashmir to convene an all party meet.
The PDP leader in a statement issued here said that, post Article-370 abrogation, people in Jammu and Kashmir are in panic and that the need of the hour is to come together and forge a united response and stand.
Er Nazir Yatoo said that, the people of Jammu and Kashmir need to stand up as one. Adding that Political observers interpret our silence in the Valley as their readiness to recalibrate their politics.
“People can’t trust us anymore, anger is visible among the public against political parties. It’s time to build up their trust,” he said.
Yatoo said Article 370 should not have been removed. It forms our foundation. There was no need to remove it. We are proud Indian but this (Article 370) is important for us.”
Political activity has been suspended in Jammu and Kashmir, but talking has not been suspended. It’s time for all of us to take a clear stand.
“The centre is saying one thing and doing another. We should discuss it, there is no justification for continuing harsh restrictions on communication like high speed internet. The step should have to genuinely reach out to Kashmiris and win over their hearts and minds. Restrictions have gone on for too long, and Kashmir now needs a healing touch,”he said.(PTK )
