Encounter breaks out in Shopian forests

SRINAGAR, (PTK): Encounter broke out between militants and government forces in yarwan forest area of Keller area in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.

Initial reports said that forces had earlier launched a search operation in the woods to flush out militants.

“Contact with militants has been made and exchange of gunfire erupted,” reports said. Further details awaited.
