Encounter breaks out in Bandipora village 

Bandipora , 26 September (PTK) : An encounter breaks out between militants and security forces in vaterna village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district .

Official sources told Press Trust Of Kashmir that a joint team of army and police jointly launched a cordon-and-search-operation in vaterna village following credible inputs of militants movement in the area.

As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter.

A senior police officer also confirmed the exchange of fire between the joint team of security forces and the militants.(PTK).
