EJCC protests in Srinagar, demand GP fund, pensionary benefits

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR AUG 20:-EJCC on Saturday staged protest in Srinagar and demanded GP fund and others pensionary benefits.
Dozens of employees working in different government departments and some retired employees while staging protest said that they are awaiting to get the pensionary benefits.
They said hundreds of employees have got retired in Kashmir in last four months but due to unknown reasons government is restoring to dilly-dally tactics, there by keeping employees awaiting to get the benefits.
An employee said that he along with dozens of employees are waiting for pensionary benefits like gratuity and final GP fund.
He said that all cases up to april this year have been cleared but due to unknown reasons cases which came after 20 April have been kept pending.

He added that further no payment is being credited in favour of retirees who have every eye on these benefits but now around 3 months have passed but nothing is being done.
Employees said that they along with their families have been waiting to get these benefits but it seems either there is financial crunch or there is some other issue.
We have given all our life in different departments and at last we deserve some respect and we shouldn’t be forced to visit concerned offices everyday, they said.
They requested concerned authorities to look into the matter and issue pensionary benefits in their favour at an earliest.
