E-voting right process to involve 97% of voters without exposing them to risk of lives : Farooq Renzu Shah
SRINAGAR, MAY 30 (PTK): Farooq Renzu Shah, Chairman Kashmir Society said that e-voting is the right process to involve 97% of voters without exposing them to polling booths and putting them to risk while providing multi layer secuirities to leaders as election Bonanza
Speaking to News Agency Press Trust of Kashmir Farooq Renzu Shah said that recently he met Chief election officer Salinder Kumar at his office and also email to ECI for ensuring true democracy In Kashmir by giving vote rights to deprived 97 per cent of population who are being deliberately kept out of vote process not only by separatists but also mainstream politicians.
He said “how long Indian establishment will support three % political mafia to rule majority, it’s not democracy but dictatorship. He complimented new democratic faces including Er. Rashid, Shah Faisal and others who also believe that e-voting is the right process to involve 97% of voters without exposing them to polling booths. The E-Voting will ensure fair voting as well as restoration of democracy which is missing in Kashmir since 1947 till date”.
Renzu Shah further said that all persons who are associated with conduct of election process feel that because of abnormal security conditions because of which voters feel insecuirity and voters are not coming out it is necessary to create more secure situation for ensuring full scale voting.
They appreciate that there is a great scope of initiating a serious debate for introducing e-voting. ‘’ No politician or believer of democracy can ever oppose e-voting. If e-voting is non acceptable then e-mailing, e-banking and e-commerce are also insecure and futile exercise abnitio bad,” he said. (PTK)
