Drug peddler arrested in Srinagar:- Police

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR SEP 13:- Sopore Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and brown sugar like substance was recovered from his possession.
An official said that acting tough against the drug peddlers,Sopore Police arrested one drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
He said that on 12 Sept police party of Police Station Sopore headed by SHO Police Station Sopore Insp. Khalid Fayaz under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Furqan Qadir-JKPS, during patrolling duty arrested one drug peddler when the arrested person was moving in a suspicious circumstances and attempted to runaway, but was caught tactfully at Mumkak Sopore.

The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Muhammad Asif Dar Ghulam Hassan Dar resident of Mumkak Sopore.
Upon his personal search apparently Brown Sugar like substance and weighing machine have been recovered from the possession of arrested persons, he said.
Case vide FIR number 206/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Sopore, he added.
Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt strictly as per law, he said.
