Dr. Farooq Renzushah Attended extraordinary premier first screening show of great Sufi Film, “Songs of Paradise” directed by Danish Renzu.
Mumbai, 29th August(PTK): Today, while participating in the extraordinary premier show amidst a galaxy of great internationally reputed film stars and high-profile media at the premier of the film “Songs of Paradise” directed by Danish Renzu, produced by Apple Tree, Renzu Films & Excel of Shafat Qazi, Danish Renzu & Farhan Akhtar respectively, Dr. Kh. Farooq Renzushah expressed his pleasure on such an extraordinary release of a Kashmir-oriented Sufi film appreciated by one and all.
Alia Bhatt showered admiration for Danish Renzu for superb direction and praised the extraordinary performances of Saba Azad, Soni Razdan, Mr. Zain, & Mr. Tariq for their best performances in this film on the importance of spiritual music in Kashmir.
Naseeruddin Shah, who is renowned for his great contribution to art films of India, while speaking on the occasion after the premier, said that after decades such a great film of art, that too on Kashmir, is a true light in darkness. All the stars, co-stars, cast, crew and producers were lauded for such a masterpiece of art which will definitely make history that true and pure art is back in Indian cinema.
The rare performance as Noor Begum in the film was considered a rich tribute to Padma Shri Raj Begum, whose voice was the inspiration for the film. The accent having Persian, Kashmiri & Urdu-Hindi merger so skillfully spoken by Saba Azad of the forties & fifties era received all-round appreciation. She was declared by many as the Madhubala discovered by Raj Kapoor in the present century—Madhubala in performance of Saba Azad was discovered. Similarly, Soni Razdan proved her true credentials as a great performer from Kashmiri soil in this film.
The film captured the audience with a magnetic effect from start to end. The importance of the knowledge of Sheikh-ul-Aalam, Lalla Ded, Shams Faqeer & other great Sufi saints & saintesses was highlighted in the film. (PTK)
