DPS Budgam Student Publishes maiden book “Words of a Young Writer”

SRINAGAR PTK: A young writer, Aazam Zahoor Sofi, has published a 270-page book containing poems, essays, and letters.

Aazam is a student of DPS Budgam and aspires to become a professional writer in the coming time.

The book titled “Words of a Young Writer” has 106 poems. Besides that, the book contains letters that Aazam had written when he was in class 9.

This young writer has penned down his thoughts on dowry, COVID times, and other menaces in society.

He says that through his book, he has tried to rejuvenate the concept of letter writing amongst students.

“We can tell so much by writing letters to our peers, our parents, our teachers.

The fact is that we have forgotten the art of writing letters. I have dedicated this book to the student fraternity so that they could benefit from its content, get inspired to write journals and record their thoughts. This will help them in a long way,” Aazam said.

He adds that he wants society to look beyond the dogmas of engineering and civil services and inspire the younger generation to dive into the ocean of art, which is filled with priceless gems of knowledge and wisdom. (PTK)
