Doda students set-out to compete at Divisional Level Kala Utsav-2025
DODA, OCTOBER 29(PTK): Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh today flagged off a contingent of local students to participate in the Divisional Level Kala Utsav 2025 being held at Jammu.
A group of 26 students, including one guest participant with two accomplishments and four escort teachers, are representing the district in this prestigious cultural event that aims to promote and celebrate the rich artistic traditions, creativity and cultural diversity among students.
The participants from Doda will compete in twelve different categories of Vocal Music (Classical and Folk), Dance (Classical and Folk), Instrumental Music (Melodic, Percussion, and Orchestra), Traditional Storytelling, Theatre Art, Visual Art (2D and 3D), Indigenous Toy making and Games and Local Crafts.
The flag-off event was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Anil Kumar Thakur and Chief Education Officer Mohammad Iqbal Hussain, who conveyed their best wishes and words of motivation to the students.
The students, brimming with enthusiasm and determination, expressed their excitement to showcase their artistic skills and bring glory to the district at the divisional level contest.
Addressing the students, Deputy Commissioner lauded their dedication and preparation. He encouraged them to perform with confidence, discipline and passion, expressing optimism that the participants would bring top honours to District Doda.
The Kala Utsav serves as a vital platform for students to explore and exhibit their creative potential, fostering appreciation for art and culture among the younger generation.(PTK)
