DISTRICT POLICE GANDERBAL ARRESTS A DRUG PEDDLER AND SEIZES CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE.

Srinagar April  02 (PTK) continuation of the efforts to eradicate the drug menace from the society, District Police Ganderbal arrested a Drug Peddler in the jurisdiction of PP Nagbal and seized contraband Substance.

Yesterday, Police Post Nagbal received information through reliable sources that one person namely Mohammad Shafi Sheikh S/O Mohammad Maqbool Sheikh R/O Busserbugh, Ganderbal has concealed contraband substance at his residential house. Upon the receipt of the information, Case FIR No. *48/2025,* under relevant Sections of NDPS Act was registered at PS Ganderbal.

Accordingly, a special Police team of PP Nagbal who in presence of Executive Magistrate 1st Class and independent witnesses raided the residential house of the accused. During the search, Contraband Substance, 3.616 Kgs of Bhang Patri along with seeds and tops was recovered, which was seized and the accused was arrested on the spot. Further investigation of the case is under process.
