District Level Singing, Debate and Essay Writing Competition held at GGHSS Doda

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR DODA, AUGUST 06: A District Level Singing, Debate and Essay Writing Competition under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ was held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Doda the other day,

The winners of zone level competitions of all the zones of the district participated and showcased their talent in their respective disciplines. In all 20 students participated in the Singing competition, 18 in Essay Writing and 20 in Debate competition.

Chief Education Officer, Prahlad Bhagat was the chief guest on the occasion, while Mohammad Ayaz Iqbal Mughal, DEPO, was the Guest of honour.

Besides, Tanvir Ahmed Wani, Principal Govt HSS Trown and Tahir Ashraf Wani, Sr Lecturer HSS Goha were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Ayaz Mughal highlighted the importance of holding such programs. He urged the participants and audience to participate wholeheartedly in Har Ghar Jhanda program and also encourage others for the same. Tanvir Ahmed Wani congratulated all the participants for their outstanding performances.

Pertinently, the zonal level competition was held on 2nd of August and the winners were given opportunity to compete in the District level contest. The students selected at the district level will participate in Division level competition at Jammu.

The winner of the competition at State Level will be awarded Rs 30 thousand cash prize.
