District Admin Udhampur hosts Debate, Singing Competition at GHSS Boys  

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 04: As part of the celebration of “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” a District level Debate and Singing competition was organized by Education department under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Krittika Jyotsna here at Shaheed Inspector Kamal Singh GHSS Boys Udhampur.

Chief Education Officer, Arvin Koul was the chief guest on the occasion.

Around 22 students from across 11 zones of the district participated in the debate and singing competition and expressed their views on the topic.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest complimented the staff members and students of the schools for their preparation for the contests. He extended them best wishes for future endeavours.

 In debate competition, Mohammad Tuqial – Ul- Islam of zone Dudu  and Sonia Rajput of Zone Kulwanta  were adjudged for 1st and  2nd positions, respectively. In the Singing Competition, Pallavi Devi   of Zone Jib and Roshan Kumar of Zone Majalta clinched 1st and 2nd   positions, respectively.

The event was judged by a Committee of officers constituted for the purpose by ADC Mohd Sayed Khan, which included DIO, Rajinder Digra, DSWO, Kanika Gupta, Ashok Kumar, Senior Lecturer GHSS Boys, Anita Sharma, Lecturer Music, GCW Udhampur, Mohinder Kumar, Senior Cultural Assistant. The Committee evaluated the performance of students participating in debate and singing competitions.

 Later, the chief guest distributed participation certificates among the students.
