Disciplinary Action Taken Against Five Government Employees for Violating MCC in Anantnag

 

Srinagar, Aug 30 : The Election Office in Anantnag district has taken strict disciplinary action against five government employees for engaging in political activities in violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). The action was taken on Friday, demonstrating the administration’s firm stance on ensuring the impartiality of the ongoing elections.

 

According to an official statement, two of the employees have been suspended with immediate effect, while the wages of two others have been withheld. Additionally, suspension has been recommended for one more employee. The statement emphasized that government employees participating in political activities during the election period are in clear violation of the MCC.

 

The District Election Officer issued a stern warning to all government employees, urging them to avoid any form of political activity and to strictly adhere to the directives of the Election Commission of India. The officer reiterated that maintaining the fairness and impartiality of the electoral process is of utmost importance.

 

The actions taken in Anantnag highlight the administration’s commitment to upholding the integrity of the electoral process and ensuring that government employees fulfill their duty without bias or political involvement.
