Director Agriculture Kashmir chairs meeting with Pesticide Companies Stressed for timely availability of insecticides / pesticides to the farmers/orchardists

Srinagar/14-02-2020/(PTK)Director Agriculture Kashmir Altaf Aijaz Andrabi today convened a meeting of all pesticide companies supplying pesticides in the meeting hall of directorate of Agriculture.

The chair impressed upon all the pesticide suppliers and manufacturers to supply the quality pesticides and maintain availability of all the pesticides.

The companies were further instructed to have a competitive rates of Pesticides and Insecticides in comparison to the neighbouring states.

The companies were directed to intimate the Enforcement Agency regarding the arrival of consignments for sampling in the valley and submission of monthly stock statements to licensing authority (Plant Protection Officer) Kashmir as per the insecticide act 1968.

The chair impressed upon the timely availability of insecticides / pesticides be made so that farmers/orchardists does not suffer for want of pesticides during the crop season.

It was also decided that the Quality Control Lab Srinagar shall issue sample analysis report within 10 days after receipt of the sample from Enforcement wing.

The meeting was also attended by Dy. Director Law Enforcement Kashmir, Plant Protection Officer, Kashmir District Law Enforcement Officer, Anantnag and Assistant Director Law Enforcement Srinagar. (PTK)
