Despite heavy rains Thousands attend funeral prayers of slain handwara militant

Srinagar,June 30(PTK).Despite heavy rains Thousands of people on Saturday turned up for the funeral prayers of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant Sajad Ahmad Shah at Chogul village in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Sajad Ahmad Shah son of Ali Mohammad Shah resident of Gund Chogul village of Handwara,who was active since past one year was killed in a gunfight in chutpura area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.
According to reports people from adjoining villages and other far flung areas of the district Kupwara marched to the Chogul village on Saturday morning to offer the prayers.
People from different areas of handwara staged massive protests against the killing of Sajad in an encounter In South Kashmir Village. The mourners including women and children shouted Pro_Azadi, Pro_Pakistani and Anti-India slogans(PTK).
