Delhi’s stubborn attitude responsible for death, destruction in Kashmir: Mukhtar Waza

SRINAGAR: Senior APHC Leader and the chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has said that, “Kashmir is a bone of contention between the two nuclear powers of the sub-continent. New Delhi’s stubborn attitude regarding this globally accepted political dispute and dealing it with only militarily has created death and destruction in whole state and peace and harmony of whole region is threatened. This was stated by Waza While addressing a gathering at Jamia Masjid Kanelwan in Bijbehra.

“With the resolution of Kashmir issue a new era of peace, stability and development will prevail not only in Jammu and Kashmir but in whole South Asia as well,” he added.

Mukhtar Waza further, while expressing serious concern over the plight of illegally detained Kashmiri political prisoners, has demanded their immediate release.

He said that the majority of the Kashmiri prisoners has been shifted from the Kashmir valley to various prisons of Jammu region and India in brazen violation of the Geneva Conventions and the verdict of Indian Supreme Court.

On the occasion Maulana Mohammad Rafiq Dar, Shabir Ahmad and Riyaz Ahmad also accompanied Mukhtar Waza. (PTK)
