Decomposed body of Sopore girl found after 5 months

SRINAGAR (PTK):- Body of Sopore girl who had jumped into the river Jhelum in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district was retrieved after around 5 months on Tuesday.

An official said that the girl had jumped into river Jhelum near Khanpora bridge in Baramulla around three months before.

He said that following the incident, a massive search operation was launched, however, there was no trace of her.

The official said after 5 months her body was retrieved today from Jehleum while body is decomposed.

He said after medico-legal formalities the body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites. (PTK)
