DDC Shopian chairs Block Diwas at Keegam assures timely redressal of  Grievances

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SHOPIAN, JULY 20:- District Development Commissioner Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today chaired Block Diwas  at Keegam, Shopian.

DDC met scores of deputations of locals, Social Activists and PRIs and listened to their grievances.

On this occasion, deputations projected various issues including installation of street lights, provision of portable drinking water facility and cleaning of water tanks and better Healthcare facilities, cutting of poplar trees, road connectivity and other issues of public importance.

During interaction with the people, he took stock of different ongoing developmental works and emphasised upon officers present for timely completion of developmental projects.

The DDC directed concerned officers to work with cohesion among themselves and to ensure timely completion of all the left out works within the fixed timeline.

He directed the officers to monitor the proceedings of Block Diwas and to ensure that the record of grievances are  maintained for follow up action.

DDC assured that all their genuine demands shall be taken up for appropriate action as expeditiously as possible and within norms.

District officers and officials, PRI members, social activists, besides people in large number from various areas of the district participated in the said Block Diwas.
