DC Kishtwar reviews progress of work on PMGSY projects

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KISHTWAR, JULY 29:   Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the status of road projects being executed by PMGSY in different parts of the district.

In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner was apprised about the work wise and division wise physical and financial status of all the road projects and bridges being constructed under PMGSY.

The DC directed the concerned executing agencies/contractors to pace up the pending execution work keeping in view the short working season in far flung areas.

Expressing dismay over the slow pace in the execution of some projects, the Deputy Commissioner exhorted upon the executing agencies to mobilise their machinery and resources in manifolds to achieve the set targets.

He further gave strict direction to Ex Ens to expedite execution on these roads as per the PERT chart, failing which stringent action shall be initiated against the erring contractors/officers.

The Ex Ens were further directed to expedite the construction of work on Bridges at Sazar and Chatroo before 5th August for their time bound completion.

The meeting also discussed various bottlenecks hampering the pace of work. The DC directed concerned SDMs/ACR and EX Ens to visit the areas and resolve the issues to ensure completion of all road network projects within stipulated time.

He also directed SDMs to closely monitor the progress of work on the road network projects in their respective areas.

The meeting was attended by ADDC kishtwar Sham Lal, JD planning Mohd Iqbal, ExEn PMGSY Division Kishtwar Mohinder Kumar,Ex En Marwah Mohd Aslam Lone,Ex En PMGSY Chatroo Masood Ur Rafiq besides contractors and their Representatives.
