DC Kathua reviews progress on construction of border bunkers

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KATHUA, AUGUST 06:  Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Pandey held a meeting with officers to review the status of construction of bunkers in border areas of the district.

During the meeting, it was informed that out of 576 allocated bunkers, work of 555 has been taken up by the executing agencies viz Rural Engineering Wing of RDD and PWD in border blocks Hiranagar and Marheen.

It was given out in the meeting that a total of 85 bunkers have been constructed and work on another 65 such bunkers is going on in twin border blocks.

The DC directed the executing agencies to expedite the pace of work on construction of border bunkers to ensure their timely completion.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Kathua, Chief Planning Officer, Xen PWD, XEN REW besides other concerned officers were present.
