DC Kathua reviews implementation of RDD schemes, execution of B2V works

Seeks speedy allotment, timeline completion of projects

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KATHUA, AUGUST 30: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting to review the implementation and progress achieved under the Rural Development sector schemes in the District.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, DPO, XEN REW, BDOs, and other concerned officers.

While reviewing the scheme wise works taken up by the RDD, the DC laid thrust on speeding up the process of allotment and early completion of already tendered works to make Kathua amongst top performing districts.

The DC directed ACD to increase Person Days under MGNREGA, ensure regular monitoring of taken up works and performance   of field staff.

The DC further asked for submission of data regarding the ongoing works and works not tendered. He also called for early completion of ongoing works and speeding up the tendering process of identified works.

A threadbare review was also held on physical and financial achievements made by the departments under the flagship schemes including PMAY-G, B2V3, SBM, Solid waste management, soak pit, ODF+ etc.

The DC also laid thrust on ensuring saturation of Aadhaar Seeding of the left out beneficiaries.

Furnishing of comparative data on the progress made in work execution, utilisation of resources and accomplishment of works within set timelines was also stressed upon.
