DC interacts with Members of women SHG of JKRLM Mission in Rajouri
Assures every possible support for skill enhancement of Members
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR RAJOURI, AUGUST 30: District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal today interacted with the members of the Women Self Help Groups here in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak Bunglow.
Among the others, ADDC, Pawan Kumar; AD Planning, Mohd Rafi; District Project Manager CSC e governance, Shahid Malik; BPM, Zubair Ahmed Wani; BPM, Qamran hanief were present on the ocassion.
Addressing the SHGs members, the DDC said that the main objective of JKRLM was organised development of women, particularly in rural areas, by upgrading their economic and social status.
He said that the Government is working with full potential for the upliftment and empowerment of the women folk through numerous initiatives.” The target is to enable every women to stand on her own and live a respectful life in the society” he added.
Highlighting the contribution of the women in every field as incomparable, he said they can bring a massive transformation in the society with their skills. “The need of the hour is to provide them the right opportunity to showcase their caliber and make them economically empowered” he said.

The DC advised the members of the Self Help Groups to work in tandem to eradicate poverty from the district. “You need to diversify their livelihoods, improve their incomes and quality of life” he added.
The DDC also maintained that persistent efforts are being made to create an environment in which the Self Help Groups can connect the villages with prosperity. He directed the officers to assist the women SHGs in channelizing their efforts to carve out a successful businesses.
He also distributed Mantra biometric devices among the members of the Self Help Groups. These devices will facilitate the SHGs members in banking transactions and also in applying for different forms like golden card registration etc which will ultimately lead to employment generation.
