DC finalises arrangements for Janamastmi festival in Rajouri
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR RAJOURI, AUGUST 17: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to discuss and finalize the arrangements in connection with the Shree Krishan Janamastmi festival.
The meeting had a detailed discussion on the arrangements to be put in place for celebration of the festival.
The DC asked the departments to make available all requisite facilities to the devotees like drinking water, sanitation, medicare, transport, uninterrupted power and water supply and other necessary arrangements.
The PDD and Jal Shakti Department were asked to provide uninterrupted power and water supply on the scheduled day. The DC also instructed for provision of standby transformers, generators and water tankers as a backup.

Adequate security arrangements were also finalized for the festival. The Traffic authorities were directed to prepare well thought-out traffic management and parking plans in order to ensure hassle-free to-and-fro movement of vehicles on the scheduled day.
The Health Department was asked to ensure the provision of necessary Medicare facilities. He also directed the EO MC Rajouri to ensure cleanliness around the major places of worship throughout the period of celebrations.
The concerned officer from the fire and emergency services was asked to station a fire tender to meet out any eventuality.
Officers who attended the meeting included SSP, Mohd Aslam; ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; CMO, Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar; SE PWD (R&B), Nissar Hussain; ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed and other concerned officers.
