Crusade against Drugs by JK Police appreciable, deserves mass support: Kadfeen

Srinagar, (PTK): Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Sunday hailed Jammu and Kashmir police over launching a crusade against drugs in Kashmir valley and termed such efforts appreciable and need of the hour.

In a statement issued here, Kadfeen said that the menace of drugs in Kashmir is consuming precious lives at a dreadful pace and that if immediate measures aren’t taken at an earliest, the situation will turn catastrophic and unthinkable.

Kadfeen added that the massive manhunt lunched by the Jammu and Kashmir Police against the drug peddling in Kashmir is worth to hail and is receiving people support on a wide scale.

He maintained that the need of the hour is to support such an endeavour of the law enforcement agencies to make Kashmir a drug free region.

Kadfeen said that the saner voices of the society including the intellectuals, ulemas, religious preachers and civil society activities must join hands and arrogate the role to themselves of putting  lid over the drug abuse in Kashmir-
