CRPF organises Noorani Cricket Premier League

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR NOV 02:- 181 Battalion CRPF stationed at Radar Station, Charar-I-Sharief organized “Noorani Cricket Premier League Tournament-2022 for the cricket teams of Tehsil Charar at Seikh-Ul-Aalam, Sports Stadium, Charar-E-Sharief, Distt Budgam w.e.f. 18/10/2022 to 02/11/2022.

An official said the said tournament was organised to spread awareness amongst the youth to remain mentally and physically fit in their personal and professional life vis-a-vis to develop good rapport between forces and civilians and to spread peace and harmony among local populace in Charar area.

Total 16 teams participated in above tournament on knock out basis, he said.

On 2/11/2022, a thrilling Final match was played between Baba Ibrahim, Chrawani v/s Charar-I-Shairef, Gymkhana. Charar-I-Sharief, Gymkhana, won the final match by 13 run defeating the latter, he added

In a closing ceremony the winner & Runner-up teams of the tournament rewarded with shining trophies and 20,000/- and 15,000/- rupees respectively, he said.

Man of the series award 5000/- rupees grabbed by Sh. Sahil Majeed. Moreover, certificates of participation in tournament to the players of winner and runner up teams were also handed over. On behalf of Sh. Om Hari, Commandant 181 Bn CRPF, Sh. Ambuj Muthal, Second-In-Command, 181 Bn reiterated to conduct such sports tournaments in future and stressed upon to upkeep and carry forward the CRPFs image as Peace keepers of the Nation, he said.

Further, he thanked all the participating teams, organising committee members, District sports officer Budgam, unit personnel and all other men, who made this tournament successful by dint of their sincere efforts and overwhelming support. Sh. Ambuj Muthal, Second-In-Command, 181 Bn, Sh. Yogesh Kumar, Second-In-Command, 181 Bn, Sh. Dilip Kr. Debroy, DC, 181 Bn, other ranks and dignitaries graced the occasion, tea and snacks were served among players and visitors and the function ended with a joyous atmosphere.
