Covid Vaccine in J&K: Vaccine deficiency come down in Kashmir
SRINAGAR, (PTK): Apart from the Health and Family Welfare Department, the district administration has become active to achieve the target of 100 per cent vaccination for people aged above 45 years in Jammu and Kashmir following the directions of the Lieutenant Governor.
For the vaccination of 38 per cent people in ten days, Ramban district started vaccinating people from door to door, most of them preferred to achieve the target by organizing special camps. However, the lack of vaccine in the midst of all this remains a matter of concern. Experts say that there should be no shortage of vaccine for ten days.

In Jammu and Kashmir, the number of vaccinations of about 33 lakh people in the age group of more than 45 years has been prescribed. But only 21,83,685 people have got vaccinated. A total of 61.52 percent people have been vaccinated. Currently 38 percent of the people have not been vaccinated.
Vaccination of 85.66 per cent has been done in Jammu division and 61.15 per cent in Kashmir. Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha has now asked to achieve the target within ten days. After this, the Health and Family Welfare Department has been activated since Sunday. But the shortage of vaccine in Kashmir is coming in the way.

Where special camps were organized in Jammu district. In Ramban district, the Health Department teams went door-to-door to immunize those who are over 45 years of age and have not even taken their first dose. It was led by Dr. Rajneesh, BMO in Batot.
On the other hand, special camps have been planned to be organized in Udhampur and Doda districts to vaccinate people. For this, assistance is also being taken from ward counselors, panchayat representatives, tehsildars, BDOs and policemen. Counselors and officers are making people aware to come to special camps. Dr. Yakub, Chief Health Officer of Doda, says that they have decided to organize special camps in addition to the already established vaccination centers. Officials are making people aware.

If the vaccine continues, the target will be achieved. Vaccination is being done at more than fifty places in the district. At the same time, the goal is being achieved by setting up camp in every village in Kishtwar district. Its purpose is to examine people on the spot and also to vaccinate them. This will not allow anyone over the age of 45 to be denied vaccination. Kishtwar CMO Dr. RS Manhas says that the campaign has been started. At the same time, in addition to special camps in Reasi, Samba districts, vaccination plans are also going to go to the homes of the people. People are also being asked to get vaccinations by sending SMS.

Special camp in Jammu, vaccinations did not happen again in Kashmir
The Health Department on Sunday vaccinated 108 centers to achieve the target. Special camps were organized at some places. Out of these, 3157 people got vaccinated. These included twenty health workers and 44 frontline workers. But vaccination could not take place due to lack of vaccine in Kashmir. Not a single vaccination was conducted in all the ten districts of Kashmir. In such a situation, it is not easy to achieve the target of vaccination in all these districts within ten days. In Jammu division, 9144 people got vaccinated. With this, 28,14,272 people have been vaccinated in Jammu and Kashmir so far. So far 61.52 per cent people have been vaccinated in the age group above 45 years.
