Covid -19:- 11 more cases test positive in JK, toll mounts to 49

Reports of over hundred samples yet to come:- officials

SRINAGAR:-(PTK) The covid-19 positive cases have soared upto 49 with seven more cases reported positive in kashmir division while as three cases in Jammu division on Monday taking the total number of positive cases in jammu and Kashmir to 49 with two deaths and two recoveries.

On Monday morning jammu and kashmir government spokesman Rohit Kansal tweeted “No new cases in Kashmir Division, in Jammu Division 3 new positive cases”.

Later on Monday afternoon Kansal tweeted “our more cases detected positive in Kasmir. 2 each from Shopian and Srinagar. All contacts of previous positive cases. Contact tracing working on ground”

“Three more cases detected positive in Kasmir. A total of 48 cases now. 11644 persons under observation.722 samples tested so far”, kansal tweeted in evening

Later he tweeted, ” Just now:Another positive case reported by SKIMS Soura.Total 49″.

Pertinently with two deaths, both from srinagar and two recoveries one each from kashmir and Jammu, the total no of positive cases so far is 49 with active 45.

Officials said that four patients were tested positive at skims today, two at JLNM Srinagar and Two at Pulwama besides three in jammu division.

They further added that reports of over hundred samples are yet to come in kashmir division(PTK)
