Contractors protest in Bandipora, seek release of pending wages

Bandipora, 04 March: Scores of Contractors on Wednesday held a protest demonstration in Bandipora area of northern kashmir against the delay of their wages.

Eye witnesses said that Scores of the contractors under the banner of (Contractors Association) assembled here at Mini-Secretariat Bandipora raised anti-adminstration slogans and demanded immediate release of pending payments.

Protesters said that during april 2019 they worked day and night and till now they have not been paid and don’t know the reason for the delay in their payments.

They said despite approaching the concerned authorities many times and again there were no initiatives taken by them to sort the problem.

They demanded higher authorities to look into the matter so that they won’t suffer anymore.
