Conductor dies, driver injured in Udhampur road accident

SRINAGAR (PTK): A conductor died while a driver was injured in a road accident in Udhampur road accident on Monday.

An official said that two vehicles crashed into each other on Jammu-Srinagar national highway inside Chanani-Nashri tunnel in Udhampur last night.

In the incident conductor of the dumper died on spot while its driver was injured who has been hospitalized, he said.

The deceased conductor has been identified as Balbir Chand of Samba.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the accident and started investigation. (PTK)
