Civilian shot dead in Budgam

Press Trust of Kashmir | Budgam: A civilian was shot dead by unknown gunmen suspected to be militants in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday evening, officials said.

A police officer said that the civilian identified as Tajamul Mohi-ud-Din Rather was fired upon by militants near his home at Gotpora Budgam.

He said Tajamul has been shifted to hospital in injured condition, however, he succumbed on way to hospital.

He added that area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.:- PTK
