CHC Gool out of order, no attention being paid towards patients, alleges locals

Patient allegedly died due to medical negligence

Srinagar, Jun 26 (PTK): Gool Ramban CHC which is located at the gate of Gool was later converted to sub-district hospital however name changed on paper only but nothing changed on ground.

Locals said that name has been changed but not the facilities and most people return here in a state of despair.

Today again a citizen died here due to the negligence of the administration, locals said.

Abdul Rashid Butt, a resident of Salbala, was admitted to the hospital at around 11 in the morning and he was taken away because he started vomiting with blood, they said.

Due to this, they rushed him from home to the hospital but as he was taken to the hospital and doctors after applying glucose to the patient, the doctors disappeared and so did the other staff.

We asked them that we will shift patient to Jammu and his condition is not well, said one of his relative adding that doctors said he is fine and will be okay in sometime.

He said that they didn’t treat him till he died there and even after his death no one attended him.

“We begged them to provide us ambulance so that we can carry dead body home but they denied that too due to which we were forced to carry dead body on our Shoulders,” he added.

Locals protested against the administration against medical negligence and for not providing vehicle to carry dead body.

They said that it is order of the day that patients are treated like animals but administration gives deaf ear to our requests.

They demanded higher ups to look into the matter so that locals can heave a sigh of relief. (PTK)
