BSF Foils Drone Intrusion from Pakistan: China-Made UAV Shot Down
NEW DELHI: The Border Security Force (BSF) reported another successful interception as they shot down a China-made drone near the India-Pakistan International Border in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district. The quadcopter, detected entering Indian territory from Pakistan, was swiftly targeted and neutralized by BSF troops during a night operation on Friday.
The BSF, mandated to safeguard the 3,323 km India-Pakistan border, acted with rapid reflexes, firing at the drone upon interception, causing it to lose control and crash into a farming field near Rossey village. Following the incident, BSF personnel cordoned off the area and conducted an extensive search, ultimately recovering a partially broken Quadcopter identified as a DJI Mavic 3 Classic, manufactured in China.
This latest interception underscores the BSF’s vigilance and operational prowess in countering aerial threats along the border. The force lauded its troops’ keen observation and exemplary shooting skills, emphasizing their continued efforts to thwart malicious activities aimed at destabilizing the region through drone intrusions.
