Brigadier Rajput appreciated the patience , zeal ,determination of Mr Faisal during his challenging journey and wished him best for the future endeavors. He also mentioned that the National award to Faisal is acknowledgement of his immense contribution to promote sports and encourage thousands of youth towards mainstream. Brigadier Atul Rajput SM also said Mr Faisal Ali Dar gave much needed impetus to sports activities in Kashmir and contributed towards bringing normalcy in the valley. He said it’s because of Faisal Ali Dar that youth are opting sports as a career that was impossible to think earlier.

While praising the talent & efforts Commander said that Faisal Ali Dar is a living example and inspiration for the entire Nation especially for the youth of UT J& K

On the occasion Brigadier Rajput also presented a memento and a shawl to the Padma Shri awardee.:-PTK
