Bootlegger arrested with illicit liquor in Kangan

SRINAGAR, (PTK): Police have arrested a bootlegger and recovered 7 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession at power house Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Gandrbal district.

In a statement issued here Police said “during routine naka checking at power house Kangan, Police Party from Police Station Kangan yesterday arrested one bootlegger namely Suleiman Hashim Ansari @Danish S/O Hashim Ansari R/O Najeeb Abad Bijnoor, U.P present address Tawheed pora Kangan and illicit liquor, (07) bottles in quantity recovered from his possession”.

In this regard F.I.R No. 37/2019 U/S 48 EXCISE ACT stands registered in Police Station Kangan and investigation taken up.

People appreciated the efforts of Police to eradicate the menace of drug.
