Body of shepherd recovered week after drowning in Bandipora

Bandipora, 19 Oct (PTK): Body of a shepherd was retrieved week after after drowning in river Jhelum in north Kashmir’s Bandipora village on Tuesday afternoon .

Official sources told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) that body of a shepherd, who drowned 7 days before, following which rescue operation was launched and today afternoon the body was recovered from river Jehlum near seer jagir.

The shepherd was identified as 20-year-old Nazir Ahmad Cheechi son of Mohammad Yousaf Cheechi a resident of Panar Bandipora.

Meanwhile the body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.(PTK).
