One more militant killed, toll reaches to 04
Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- As Baramullah encounter enters into second day, one more militant has been killed taking the toll to 04.
Three militants including a top LeT commander were killed in an encounter between the government forces and militants in Malwah area of North kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.
A senior police said that so far four militants including Yousuf Kantroo have been killed while the operation is on in the area.
Earlier, an official said that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering a gunfight.
On day one four soldiers and a civilian were injured during initial exchange of fire.:+PTK.
