Bear mauls, injures three persons in Sonmarg, Wildlife issues advisory

Press Trust of Kashmir | Ganderbal : Three persons were injured after a black bear attacked them at Thajiwas area of Sonamarg in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday.

An official said that the bear hiding in bushes injured three persons following which injured were taken to hospital for treatment.

The official said that an operation has been lunched to trap the bear.

Meanwhile wildlife officials have urged visitors and people living in nearby areas of Thajiwas to avoid venturing out during evening and early morning hours during which there is maximum movement of several wild animals.(PTK).
