Bandipora Police on toes to ensure implementation of lockdown

Bandipora, April 16 (PTK): A team of Bandipora Police headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Bandipora Mohammad Idress is on toes to ensure lockdown in the district in letter and spirit so that Covid-19 can be defeated.
A police team led by DySP Hqrs Mohd. Idrees with Station House Officer Bandipora Mir Saleem visited several Places, Banks and associated ATM’s in Bandipora town and adjacent areas and appealing people to ensure social distancing.
The police team observed disobedience of lockdown orders from masses after which the team interacted with people to ensure social distancing in wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
In Bandipora police used public address system’s and made people aware about the importance of social distancing in wake of Covid-19 cases across Jammu and Kashmir.
DySp Hqr and SHO Bandipora urged people to use ATM’s instead of visiting banks and stressed them to cooperate with civil and police administration in keeping the pandemic away.
The policemen marked the roads for ques with around five feet distance between them outside many essential service providers and told people maintain distance while using ATMs or making purchases at essential service stores in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Police has also advised public to cooperate to stop spread of this pandemic and follow the guidelines issued by the government from time to time.
