Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: IRP 6th Bn organizes event at APC Zewan

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR, AUGUST 02: As part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” initiative of the government celebrating 75 years of Independence, the IRP 6th Bn., APC Batamaloo today organized an event at APC Zewan.

50 Students both boys and girls of Govt. Girls High School, Zewan were invited to visit the J&K Police Martyrs’ Memorial at APC Zewan where they paid floral tributes to the Fallen Heroes.

Two girl students of 9th standard spoke about the sacrifices offered during our country’s freedom struggle. Patriotic songs performed by the J&K Police orchestra enthralled the audience.

The young students were impressed upon and urged to honour and always remember the huge sacrifices made by the officers and jawans of J&K Police over the past three decades.

Gifts were distributed among the participating students and they were served packed refreshments.

The event was organized under Civic Action Programme (CAP), 2022-23.

Suhail Munawar Mir, Commandant IRP 6thBn., APC Batamaloo;  Sukhdev Raj, Commandant JKAP 9th Bn., Zewan and Sanjay Singh Rana, Commandant l2th Bn. Security, Zewan besides Zahoor Ahmad, Dy. SP IRP 6th Bn and other officers of the Unit attended the event.
