Army sponsors Kupwara Youth, representing UT in Wushu Martial Arts Competition
Srinagar, 12 Jan (PTK) : The youth of Kupwara have been representing the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory in state level Wushu martial art competition.

As per the statement issued to Press trust of Kashmir (PTK) a army spokesman said that Kupwara youth have been representing J&K in various State and National level sports events. One such unique sport is Wushu which is a form of mixed martial arts of Chinese origin. Two talented youth of Kupwara Town Master Imran Waris and Master Nazir Sheikh are undergoing rigorous training to participate in the State Level Wushu Competition.

It added that Upholding the spirit of sportsmanship, Indian Army has also sponsored the talented teenagers to train hard with latest world class equipment and sports gear. Both the Boys were motivated and boosted by providing Rs 7500 each to keep themselves great spirits to perform better and achieve new heights of success in the sport. Their complete training is being done in Kupwara itself.

The indian army has always stood by its Awam through thick and thin and especially with those who want to stand on their own feet and make an identity of themselves. (PTK).
