Army organizing Women T20 league in Ganderbal

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- Indian Army is organizing women t-20 cricket league in Central kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

An official said that Army in order to constructively engage the youth, identify and promote the talented women cricketers and inculcate a healthy competitive spirit, is organising Chinar Women T-20 League.

The initiative by the Army to present an ideal platform to display cricketing skills has received good response from the locals, he said.

The event is being organised with active support from the District Youth Services, Ganderbal and local media. A total of 12 women cricket teams from all over kashmir division including U.P and Rajasthan will be competing from 15 October to 21 October 2022, he said.

The tournament will culminate with the winner’s being awarded with trophies and cash awards, he added.

Chinar Women T-20 Cricket League is a novel venture by the 24 Rashtriya Rifles to reach out to the innumerable budding women Cricketers, meet their aspirations and provide them with a forum to excel, he added.

The announcement of the event has gained enormous popularity and following among the local population and especially the cricket enthusiasts, he said :- PTK.
