Army organises tailoring workshop in Wangath Kangan

Ganderbal Dec, 04 (PTK) To provide vocational guidance and propagating women empowerment in the Wangat army organised a Tailoring Workshop for 25 young women of the area. This workshop provided the women with the basic skills of using the sewing machine and other tailoring skills.

The workshop was conducted over a period of 30 days starting from 04 Nov to 04 Dec, 2020. These women came from all backgrounds to participate in the workshop, which provides them a base to be independent earners for their families, said an official.

This workshop has left a huge impact on the populace of Wangat. They hugely appreciated Army for organising such an event and have requested to organise similar ventures in the future, he added.(PTK)
