Arms ammunition recovered as forces bust hide out in Ganderbal

Press Trust of Kashmir | Ganderbal :Government forces on Monday claimed to have busted a militant hideout and recovered arms and ammunition in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal

An official said that on specific inputs a joint team of forces comprising of Army’s 24 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group (SOG) busted an ‘old hideout’ in Shaginash Urpesh forest area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district

 

He said that Arms and ammunition which includes 1 Chinese Pistol Magazine, 11 Magazines of AK-47 Rifle, 6 Rounds of a Pistol, 579 Bullets of AK-47 Rifle and 2 UBGL Rounds.

He added that a case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been taken.(PTK).

May 31, 2021: Jammu and Kashmir Education Chamber welcomed the appointment of Shri Arun Kumar Mehta as new Chief Secretary in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

the UT will fight out the Corona virus with full strength and will power, keeping the livelihood of common masses in due consideration. JKEC has expressed full confidence in the abilities

and administrative capabilities of Shri Arun Kumar Mehta and expressed high expectations from the new Chief Secretary.

JKEC hoped that new Chief Secretary will put the Education sector in his top priorities and will leave no stone unturned in bringing the education system back on track.

JKEC expressed hope that Shri Mehta will take cognizance of the problems and hardships faced by the Private Educational Institutions during the current pandemic situation for last two years

and will address the issues on priority so that the jobs of thousands of private school teachers, bus drivers and helpers, which is currently at stake due to financial crisis in private schools,

can be saved and this sector is given a chance to contribute towards the educational upliftment of the UT.

JKEC, in its statement said that Shri Mehta is a great reformer and leader who has made a strong contribution in the UT earlier. JKEC looks forward to working closely with him across J&K to improve the education sector,
