Arms, ammunition recovered along LoC in Jammu’s Akhnoor*

Jammu September 22 (PTK) Security forces on Tuesday recovered consignment of arms and ammunition suspected to have been air dropped in an area inside Line of Control in the area.

Officials said that joint teams of army and police headed by SDPO Akhnoor Ajay Sharma launched a Cordon and Search Operation in Akhnoor area, several kilometres inside LoC.

They added that during operation, a well packed bag was recovered with 2 AK assault rifles, 3 AK magazines, 90 AK bullets, 2 Pistols and pistol magazines alongwith bullets have been recovered from the bag, which is believed to be airdropped with a drone at LoC.

Case in this regard has been registered and further investigation is going on, officials added.(PTK)
