SRINAGAR 04 APRIL (PTK) Amending new domicile law and reserving all jobs for Jammu and Kashmir residents is a welcome step but centre must take more steps in order to restore Peace in the jammu and Kashmir, says Apni Party.
In an exclusive conversation with PTK, Apni party leader Rafi Ahmad Mir said that reserving all jobs for people of jammu and Kashmir is a welcome step but centre must take more steps for the welfare of jammu and Kashmir.
Statehood, land and property protection is crore agenda of Apni Party and we are trying our level best to restore these things, he said.
People of jammu and Kashmir especially youth were very unhappy with the new domicile law as only class iv posts were reserved for people of jammu and Kashmir but they heaved a sigh of relief by amending the domicile law and reserving all posts for residents of jammu and Kashmir, he added
He said all people of jammu and Kashmir must unite and struggle to get statehood and other protections for jammu and Kashmir.
Pertinently after widespread resentment in Jammu and Kashmir over the domicile law for appointments in government sector, the BJP-led central government on Friday night amended the legal framework to reserve all gazetted and non gazetted posts for jammu and Kashmir residents including those who are living here for 15 years and children of Central government employees serving in jammu and Kashmir for period of 10 years(PTK)
