AIP strongly condemns murder of Ghulam Nabi Mir, demands high level probe. 

Tral, 11th February: (PTK)Awami Itehad Party strongly demanded a high level probe in the murder of Party leader, Ghulam Nabi Mir of Tral who was shot dead by unknown gunmen outside his residence yesterday.

Such kind of an incident further raises eyebrows since no outfit has taken responsibility for the attack.

A delegation lead by party Spokesperson Sheeban Ashai visited Mir’s family, paying rich tributes to the deceased he remembered how Ghulam Nabi was a role model known for his steadfastness and commitment towards the cause both within party circles and outside.

Those who think such cowardly attacks would dampen our spirits or force us to forego our stand on Kashmir are living in fools paradise. Awami Itehad party has always used the space of representation contention as a means to voice the concerns and sentiments of the people of Kashmir. Expressing deep anger and anguish over the incident , AIP leadership strongly demanded that current administration lead by LG must call for a high level investigation in the murder of Ghulam Nabi Mir.

We see this cowardly act as a handiwork of those who want to muzzle every credible political voice from Kashmir.

Government of the day is duty bound to bring perpetrators behind dastardly murder of Ghulam Nabi Mir to book. (PTK)
