Ahead of Modi’s visit Mukhtar Waza arrested, placed under detention

Srinagar: Hurriyat Leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Mukhtar Ahmad Waza arrested and Placed under detention in Islamabad.

PL Spokesperson said a police party from PS Sherbagh arrived at residence of Party chairman on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 P.M and arrested Mukhtar Waza to stop him from taking any protest rally against Modi’s visit.

Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) had called a complete shutdown on 3 February across Kashmir.

Earlier,in the morning Mukhtar Waza while addressing different condolence meetings in Islamabad areas, questioned the silence of world rights bodies on plight of Kashmir detainees.
