Six Detained in Srinagar for Inciting Sectarian Unrest:Police
Srinagar January 15 (PTK) Authorities in Srinagar have detained six individuals under Sections 126 and 170 of the BNSS for allegedly making derogatory remarks intended to incite sectarian unrest. The accused are currently being held at Central Jail, Srinagar.
In a stern warning to the public, officials have stated that any individual found engaging in similar unlawful activities—whether through posting, sharing, or creating content that fosters division or disrupts public harmony—will face similar legal consequences.
“WE ARE WATCHING,” authorities emphasized, underscoring their commitment to maintaining peace and harmony in the region.
The administration has urged citizens to report any such incidents and work together to preserve communal unity.(PTK)
